[at-l] Stormy weather

It's called a "Bail-Out Plan". From most points on the AT you can find a
motel, B&B, or other warm shelter within three days. (Worst case by
retracing your path.) What really drags one down is the days of rain, sun,
rain, and a tease of sun where one's gear and particularly shoes and socks
never dry. This is what separates the through-hikers from the want-to's.
