I've had my Hennessey Hammock out in a pretty bad storm. The swinging around
really didn't bother me at all, but then we were on the lee side of the
mountain. We got serious rain, freezing rain, and sleet all night, and the
biggest problem was that the wind blew the rain/ice/sleet up under the
rainfly and inside the hammock. One side and all of the foot end of my
10-degree down bag were pretty well soaked, though I was warm and snug all
night on top of a 25-inch wide Ridgerest pad. Getting out of bed was
hard.....

I do occasionally worry about one of the trees falling over on top of me,
but that's probably not very likely. (Though we did have a big tree fall
about 6 feet from our tent one night up near Standing Indian in a bad
windstorm.)
