Again, expectations...
Is the teenager expecting a week in the "wilderness"? Is the thu-hiker
treating this as a "vacation" from his hike? There's other options here
too, a week of slackpacking ala Weary, and/or hitting the campgrounds, Big
Meadows, and Skyland coming through the SNP.
And another possible expectation; does the thru-hiker expect to keep
hanging with the group he's been hiking with and will do anything to keep
up, or does he expect to relax and slow down?
I think this is a great opportunity for both of them (hey, the teen could
end up as one of US! <g>), but they need to work the details out.
