The Appalachian Trail Summit will be held Thursday, March 18, from 11 a.m. to 
1 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 203 N. Elm Ave., Erwin.

the Appalachian Trail, hikers and Erwin. The aim, according to Janet Hensley, 
the event?s coordinator, is to help local residents, businesses and officials 
understand better the hikers using the trail. ?We?re hoping to continue the
