             The reason this doesn't smell right is because it isn't. 1000 
feet is a pyrrhic offering and empty. How about 1 mile or more Eldred? 

              To sound this out correctly ask yourself if the compromising of 
"people seeing what their overpriced cars can really do" is more important 
than a threatened important national environmental corridor? 

          I'd love to see Trail members discussing the metabolic changes in 
the local AT around Eldred and the Delta rates involved with the loss of Trail 
quality...

           I would remind "TrailR" that the argument "the AT isn't really 
wild anyway" was used by the race track developers. I wonder where they got it?
