Leave if you want. But what Kelly posted is not crap. I doubt if any wise person
is ever totally -- or even mostly -- satisfied with the government they may
have. But this fumbling giant we call democracy remains the best long term hope
for mankind.

 Democracy fails when a nation's educational system fails, as ours has. We teach
 how to operate a calculator, how to search the internet, but not how to think,
 reason, and evaluate options. But regardless, only popular government is safe
 government. It's far better to elect a Bush, or even to listen to Ray's
 ignorance, than to rely on whatever we may devise as second best.
