[at-l] SMNP Advice...

There's a *very* easy hike to Laurel Falls. It's only a little over a mile
long and it's paved. Look for the parking area on Little River Road, the
road that runs between U.S. 441 and Cades Cove. If you're driving from the
Sugarlands Visitor Center, it will be on your right.

Unfortunately, our weather isn't expected to be that great this weekend.

I'm headed up to Hump Mountain on the AT this weekend. I'm not looking
forward to the conditions we'll likely get. There's a high wind advisory
through midnight tomorrow. I've been up on the balds around there before
when the winds were up and got nearly blown off the mountain. And that was
without a high wind advisory.

I'm heading for NC in a few hours, and on Friday I hope to take the family
to SMNP for the day on the way home. What's good to see with a three year
old child that isn't going to be willing to walk too far or get too cold?

Shane
