I have to agree.  The protection of our lands is a very political hotbed and
directly affects each outdoor enthusiast.  Politics is very much a hiker's
concern.  We often find ourselves at the mercy of  politicians  to ensure
that we have a place to hike.  Indeed...very on topic.
