[at-l] re: jobs, life and such

I think it all goes back to what-I-wannas. In other words, priorities. I'm
not sayin' that I don't agree with what Kel had to say to an extent, but you
have to figure out what you want out of life and how you are willing to
achieve those goals or otherwise what you are willing to sacrifice to get
them.

This is not saying that each of us hasn't had to make some sacrifices along
the way. I have to agree with Kel in that there are some situations that
are hard to live through (but we do it, we survive it, and we are better
persons for it!!!--we would not be the people we are today if it were not
for the experiences we have lived through...can I get an AMEN????)

America...it is the land of options.

A few years ago, I was working for a major pharmaceutical company. Made big
bucks, worked lots of hours, missed a lot of stuff with my girls, was tired
all of the time, and didn't have time to breathe. But, I thought it was
what I wannaed. I was miserable...ever so...oh so...just plain
ole...miserable.

I figured out what I really wannaed. I wanna be with my girls. I wanna
have less stress in life (not that I don't thrive on it, but that's another
story). I wanna have time to go & do as I please. I wanna be able to pay
my bills, but I am willing to sacrifice some of life's luxuries in order to
do so.

Now, I work for a small-town, family-owned pharmacy as a cashier. I make
minimum wage, work about 30 hrs a week, but I get what I wanna. My family,
my freedom, & my hikes.
