[at-l] Lurker emerges from the shadows

> You also may not want to work. That seems a pretty common reaction.

I have a different issue. I left my last job March 29th, 1996, went home
and had my first stroke. I had another one a few months later (October
30th). I haven't had a job since. The problem is that I REALLY want to
work again. When you have to stop in the middle of an interview and ask
the HR guy what you were talking about, and other fun things to do with
(literal) brain damage, you don't get call-backs. And, of course, there
are some definite personality changes that occur when parts of your brain
kick a circuit breaker.

I've learned to make beautiful maps, and am attempting, off-and-on, to
write some software that'll allow lesser expensive GPS units to do the
work of ones that cost quite a bit more. Those things make me feel less
"useless" as a part of society, but I NEED TO WORK!!!!!

My greatest hope of what I'm gonna get from my thru is that I can point it
out to a prospective employer and say: "See? If I can do that, I can do
anything you have for me here!"

Just my way-too-much-info 2-cents-worth.
