[at-l] PA Ruck additions

A couple more attractions for the PA Ruck -
Long time list member Ron Moak (Six Moon Designs - www.sixmoondesigns.com)
sent along one of his Europa II tents (33 oz) and a Starlight pack (24 oz)
to be displayed at the Ruck ---- lookin' good. Also, for Ruck attendees,
there are 15% discount coupons.
And Tin Man has consented to give his stove making demo.
AND - the feature slide shows will be presented by Spur and Ready. Others
are also welcome, of course.
We're still looking for a suitable Friar for the Tuckerization exercise - on
the assumption, of course, that there will be some brave soul who will
actually bring their pack to be Tuckerized. For those who don't know -
tuckerization is the practice of lightening someone else's pack weight by
subjecting it to the scrutiny of a cold-hearted, ruthless associate of the
original Friar Tuck. At least one person has lost their spare underwear to
the Friar. <VBG>
There WILL be a "thruhiking" session Saturday afternoon even though the
format may not be decided until we get there. So -- anyone who has
questions - bring'em along and don't be shy. Anyone who's hiked the AT has
had the same kind of questions. The smart ones asked those questions
"before" they got on the Trail. The others get their questions answered at
Neels Gap or Hot Springs or Damascus - if they make it that far.
For Marsha and Gary - thank you.
Walk softly - and dress warm - it's gonna be a COLD Ruck,
Jim
