Bob,

But that my friend is much more related and pertient
to this list than the mud-slinging that has been going
on. That is all I ask. For Pete's sake.. why don't
those who channel their energy into looking up arcane
facts post a message once in a great while about the
walk they took in their backyard. Again, as you read,
but maybe I did not make myself clear, why be on an
outdoor list if the only purpose for someone on this
list is argue ad nauseum?

And, I don't care how busy you are, a walk outside on
a winter's afternoon certainly qualifies as outdoor
related. Why not talk about it from time to time?

> I know I shouldn't debate the issue on this list,

As you read, but may have misunderstood, I said
off-topic banter is fine from time to time. I just
wonder why some people are on this list if all they
want to do is post off-topic material AND continue to
do so in hostile manner.

Call me foolish Bob, but I think if people want to
belong on a outdoor list, they should discuss outdoor
topics form time to time rather than delve into right
wing and left wing bashing.

No need to take off for months at a time to post about
a walk taken outside. Or to post your idea about gear.
Or to post about your trail maintenance. Or to post
about your efforts to save a piece of in Maine. Why
not tell us why you find this piece Maine is so nice?
That is outdoor related.

But, then again, maybe I not making myself clear.

I will say it again in black and white terms. It makes
no sense for anyone (be it you, me or someone else) to
be on an outdoor list if they just want to argue,
insult and never post anything remotely related to
this passion we all share.
