Standard issue Copperhead.

Next time step around, not over.

Venomous, but very rarely deadly.  Adults are about 3 feet long.  They will
normally run or remain motionless when approached.  We have a lot of these
down here.  I caught a picture of one myself not too long ago...but I don't
seem to have it on the website...
