This year just about every hiker I met had the plastic clogs with holes in 
them.  They are wonderful except for taking up too much space in your pack.  
Mine were a conservative navy blue, but I saw lots of yellow and red ones.  For 
Christmas this year a dear friend gave me a pair of black ones.  They are "new 
and improved" with a strap at the back.  When I went to her Christmas Eve 
bash, there were numerous people wearing them with their Christmas party clothes.  
(Pretty funny, but they are soooooo comfortable.)
