This is the sort of attitude that leads to a fragmented life. It is
difficult to let go of the past. To hold in our mind's eye the wonderful
experiences
(forgetting the reality of life and its ugly side) and to negate the positive
possibilities of rooting for a local team. To continue to rally your spirit
(and irritate the heck out of all your neighbors) around a team that is
hundreds of miles distant and to neglect the great team that is near your
location
There's a great team in her current area? ;-)
It's a free country... People are allowed to root for whoever they wish.
Your favorites don't change because you move...

is
to stand out as a "foreigner" (fur in ur) and be the bone of contention that
brings strife and animosity to all within shouting distance.

Sounds more like healthy rivalry... Seen the world over... Especially in SC,
where the Tigers & Cocks play. Rooting for a local team is OK, but it lacks
the
ferver of the games played by the teams in your heart...

If you think this is bad, try watching NASCAR, and telling the fans to switch
drivers....
But you better duck & run if you do...

Russ in SC, rooting for the Panthers (in NC), because the Giants aren't
playing.
