I would not doubt Orange Bug's scientific nature in describing someone a "Yankee" -- here in North Georgia we call them "Tourons" unless they decide to move here from the NorthEast via Florida, in which case we call them "Half-Backs." And then there is my friend who always uses this phrase to explain away the unexplained and unusual actions or behaviors of those not born in the South: "They's just Yankees no-ways."
