That's what I git for typing too fast!

Actually, the original title was "Conederacy of
Dunces," referring to the cone-shaped hat generally
worn by the classroom dunce. Ignatius was kind de racy
in his behavior with what-her-name, so that's where
Toole got "Conederacy" from. 

A bit of creative literary trivia ... ;-)
