We may as well start a state by state accounting of our whereabouts!
I live in Axton, Virginia about a mile off highway 58.
It is about 150 miles to the Mount Rogers area, 1.5 hours to the AT in
the Roanoke or Lynchburg area and about 4 hours to Front Royal. That's
pretty good access times to the best 500 miles of the AT :-)
