I'm wearing my hiking books today as we have snow underfoot, and so have been reminded of a problem I get off and on wearing these things (Vasque litehikers or somesuch). I sometimes (not always, but today) get really sore where anklebone meets boot. Sometimes it's one, sometimes the other foot; sometimes both. Re-lacing/re-adjusting sox usually makes no difference. I don't get raw spots or blisters--it feels like bone bruising. Does anybody else get this & have a solution? It seems to make no difference whether I'm actually doing significant distance or not--as proven today where I'm mostly sitting, with occasional forays up and downstairs, etc. I would say it's the boots, but they don't always do this to me...
