***Yup. Made me feel like a beginner all over again. When we got to the shelter and collapsed, everyone was astonished: "We worked that hard and long to walk how far?!!!!" (One of the guys in our group was a mortician apprentice. As the day progressed, people were giving him their "instructions"--just in case they didn't make it...)
And we hiked it on a beautiful day. Can't imagine the frustration of doing that one in poor conditions.
