[at-l] Rock sharpening

Frank,
To each his/her own. I'd go ahead and wear trail runners if that's what
you're comfortable with. I wore hiking shoes from VA north and will always
wear shoes instead of boots. I had a SOBO tell me (in Vermont, I think)
that I *need* boots for Maine. She said the roots and mud would be too much
for shoes. I figured the months of May and June in Va, WV, MD, and Pa
prepared me just fine for wet trail. And the roots in Maine couldn't be
worse than the rocks in Pa and NJ!

'Near impossible' is an exaggeration. But that's just my opinion, and one
of many.
