[at-l] The Cheap hike continued

Do yourself a giant favor, and hike as much as you can now, before the AT
trip. Long miles and a loaded pack aren't something to get used to on a
long hike. It's much easier to do it 2-3 days at a time, when you can go
home and "fix" packing errors, misjudgments and the like. Just my 2 cents
worth. YMMV HYOH

<snip>
I've bought my bus ticket for March 1st, I am going to Springer. I will
pay dearly in the first few weeks for being out of shape. Vitamin I and
going slow should take care of that. I just can't stand looking at the
picture of the trail on the AT home page anymore. I need to get there!
