Was just up in the Ashville/Weaverville area for a couple of days - got back
last night.  I saw the Charter.net email address and thought maybe you were
up there as well - my son-in-law has a crew that does much of their cabling
all through that area.  Froze my butt off.... My wife - the consummate
native Floridian - is still trying to thaw out...

I was there in Asheville, NC for a while over the summer of 2002 when I came
back from New Zealand and Scotland. What a terrific place Asheville is.
Liked that place a lot. Plenty of very nice people and lots of fun things to
do. I could be turned into a vegetarian living in Asheville because the
vegetarian restaurants were so good.

Right now I'm in Reno, Nevada along the east side of the Sierra Mountains
near Lake Tahoe. There was just a snow avalanche that took out an Amtrak
Train. The passengers had to rough it for about 16 hours. Rough it
being...no club car. Ha.

I'll probably be moving east in October 2004 I think.

Still haven't bought a high-rise pickup truck out here which makes me an
outcast with the cowboy and wannabe cowboys. The ol' Datmobile has been
fine...no need to go highrising. As Belcher said riding in the
Datmobile..."So you're wanting to be a soccer mom." Ha. You can't get that
many cup holders and armrests in a highrise pickup truck.

I might do some winter backpacking up at Lake Tahoe on the PCT this month
or...skiing at Heavenly or Northstar if my insurance is paid up. Ski for 15
minutes and then go to the lodge for hot toddys (much to the relief of the
general skiing public). That's a plan. The company where I'm working is just
completing estate homes at Tahoe and Pebble Beach for a few famous people
(hey, I even I know who they are so they've gotta be famous -- my worst
category in Trivial Pursuit is Entertainment -- Geez do I suck at
Entertainment) so I might attend some parties up there at Tahoe if the event
comes about. I'm hoping to kiss Britney Spears on stage and get it in the
tabloids. Ha.

Other than that, just day-trading and network engineering to pass the time.

Let's see...goals for 2004. Woo boy, that's a tuffie. Let's see. Gotta
little walk coming up in April. Do as well financially as I did in 2003.
Find true love. Not in that order by the way.
