Have you looked around online?  Each town should have its own web site, some 
have tourism/relocating information.  Most city halls have info ready to 
send out about their area.  Chambers of Commerce might help, too.

There's a great source called The Places Rated Almanac. It lets you do comparisons based on factors you might find important, such as crime, health care, schools, arts, recreation, cost of living...
