Okay, here goes. I'll never forget my first big breakfast in the South. I approached the buffet and was dumbfounded. Aside from scrambled eggs, everything was white, tan, or brown, and I couldn't rightly identify much of it.

OTOH, I'll confess to making scrapple and baked eggs (an Italian recipe) for Christmas breakfast this year.
