This is A GOOD THING. It is slower because the pore sizes are smaller and
therefore less water can be pumped through it than in the competition which
doesn't filter out as much of the bad stuff. It is best not to try and force
it either. You don't want to create so much pressure that you defeat the
seals on the o-rings and let unfiltered water by.

Some of the competition is so bad that they actually recommend that you
treat the already filtered water! Heck, if I was going to do that, I would
just use my bandanna and save all that extra weight!

Once I knew where I was going, but now I have  forgotten.  Sometimes my mind
wanders.  Sometimes it goes alone, and other times it takes me along...this
isn't one of those times...
