[at-l] Security Issues during Resupply

This year, on the AT, I didn't worry too much about my pack. If I had to
leave it somewhere out of view, I made sure I had all of my valuables
(checkcard, credit card, ID, money, etc) with me. I never had the occasion
to leave it where I was uncomfortable. Maybe that's just me being naive.
:-)

When I went into stores, especially large stores such as supermarkets or
Wal-Mart, I asked the nearest employee where I could leave it, and usually
left it near the front with their permission. I also asked restaurant
owners where I could put my pack. Some didn't care where and others didn't
want them in the dining area.

Overall, I never saw a locked backpack.

Datto is much smarter in his pack protection. I didn't bother with it much.
