[at-l] Esbit

JIm,
Yes the tablet was tightly wrapped with foil and laying flat. I did
not try a little opening on the top but instead scrapped away some
foil on the end (smallest side) and also tried with half and 1/4 of
the tablet exposed.
I do not use the Esbit stove. I use a homade multifuel stove based on
the Boy Scout pepsi can with perlite design. The stove is constructed
from two Fosters beer cans. Stove support is provided by stainless
steel screen wire. It burns either denatured or isopropyl alcohol or
Esbit. I burned twigs in it and prepared a meal while camping at the
Kennebec crossing. Wind screen is from aluminum foil baking pans. The
screen reaches 1/4" taller than my .9L cook pot resting on the stove.
