I don't know if you've got too many wild pigs in that area...  Most likely
armadillos and possums.  Armadillos can really tear up the ground.>>

Don't know where that state park is. Here in NY I recently found out that
much of the trailside digging that I thought was due to skunks feeding was
more likely due to wild turkeys...
