[at-l] Off Topic, OT, off my rocker, etc.

Kelly,

I have moved 18 times in the past 20 years... no I am not a fugitive on the
run but in the military and I feel your pain. It is stressful to move and
especially if you have to do it all by yourself.

A good place to get boxes is at your local grocery store, I like you used
wine boxes and beer boxes. They do work best but you have to get the bigger
ones.

Wrapping? You will not be wrapping unless you are mailing out the stuff.
I am assuming you are talking about wrapping the outside of the boxes. If
you are referring to packing that is a different story. Use the clothes,
linen, pillows and blankets for packing. You have to pack them anyway and that way
they will pull double duty.

When you pack, pack by room!!!! That waywhen you have to unpack you put
the boxes in the rooms where you want them and it is MUCH easier.

If you are packing fluids from the kitchen, make sure the covers are good.
We didn't once and we had garlic olive oil over everything!

If you are packing glassware, just use one sheet of newspaper. If you
need more news paper go to your local newspaper and see if they have any
yesterday issues. They did in RI, and I got each Sunday Paper for 25 cents. You
should not need more than 4- 5 Sunday issues to pack glassware and plates.

Keep an extra box or two for when you are packing. I always needed it for
things I missed like a lamp or a rug somewhere.

When you pack up the things to move keep this in mind. You may not get
unpacked in one day. Label each box with a general label what is inside. Like
dishes, glasses, TV, Movies, Books. Set aside things you will need when you
get into the new place. Those things should be packed separate.

Hope this helps

Sparky!
