In today's paper, there was a story about a guy in the Smokies whose pitbull or some such dog attacked some bear cubs.  Momma chased the dog back to the crowd a couple of times.  The rangers cited the dog owner for several things.  One was not have dog on leash in back country, mistreatemt of wild life.  People never learn.
