OT: Cockroaches (was) RE: [at-l] Bong Water Needed for Empirical Test

I have two female friends. Very bright and very intelligent.

One collect snakes. All kinds. She even has some venemous snakes in her
basement. NOT RUNNING AROUND LOOSE. Thank God.

One collect cockroaches. She has one that I swear could carry off most
small dogs.

And did y'all know that in some countries, cockroaches are the "hot" new
pet?

Cockroaches? We call them Palmetto bugs, we have the normal variety too,

There have been comical times when a Palmetto bug got in my parent's house.
My Mom and I just get the willy nilly's and the Icky yucks when we see them.
Mainly we hate'em and are scared of the things. One time involved a broom
held by my dad, smacking it around, sending it towards my Mom and I. We
scream like banshees, run like hell, my dad smacking away at the darn thing
with a broom a million times. It finally found a closet to run into, and we
never saw it again. That room with the closet the bug ran into? My Mom and
I did NOT step foot in that room for days. I have a very colorful name for
these bugs. Alas, not even I can tell you said name on the at-l.
