I have actually found some articles on the web about using the big zip lock 
bags that have a bottom in them.  I am thinking about expermenting with that 
idea and see what kind of meals I can come up.

Check out _Lipsmackin' Backpackin' _, by Tim and Christine Conners.

Christine cooks a lot in zip locks and saves a bundle vs. freeze dried
meals.
