[at-l] Keeping it a hiking discussion?

Well, hell, Jim, then put up. I'm a couple thousand miles away, and the
last time I set foot on the AT was twenty years ago. I need you folks to
keep me up-to-date. I know you are all busy, but if you don't post
on-topic, you can't really complain if someone else's chatter takes
over.

If this list is to remain 'relevant', then folks with info need to keep
the rest of us informed. I read every message; you have news, then by
all means post it!

It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will
determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate
discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor
must preside at our assemblies.
