Seriously, outside of the AT, I know there are some really good
camping/hiking areas in NJ. Any natives of the area or frequent
campers/hikers willing to recommend some "neat" places.

I did a post doc in canada. My first real job was in new

jersey but he was a big fan of B.Kilban and his cartoons.
One of his cartoons had a picture of a man sneaking across a
border. The title was Houdin escaping from New Jersey. I
have a xerox copy somewhere in my filing cabinet
.
In defense of Jersey, one of my bestest friends is from there. Also,
Liteshoe commented in a recent journal entry at how beautiful it was. I've
been there once, and was Jersey city, so what I saw was a chit hole.
I reckon all states have there bad apples and ugly towns. Florida is
beautiful.... Once you get out of the city or go to one of the beaches.
