Followup query (was) RE: [at-l] Headlamps

I am an omnivorous reader.  I read therefore I am.  They'll take my book
when they pry it from my cold dead hand.  Etc. 

So which lamp has the longest battery life and would be best for me?  I've
played with one for a long time and it's done me good.  But I have yet to
win the lottery and cannot afford to try every lamp out there.  

Again, I READ!  So think long battery life.

I have a Black Diamond headlamp. Cost was $21.95, I'm still using the
original battery, purchased it in February, and I'd say I have about 20
hours on it so far.  It so banged up and abused that the writing is coming
off. It even has grass stains on it. It's never failed me, and came highly
recommended from the Appalachian Outfitters in Avon Lake Ohio. Plus I
noticed a few hikers had them at PA Ruck in January. Can't beat that.
