I said mountain dew.  Not grain alcohol.  There is a world of difference
between the real stuff and grain alcohol.  And there is a world of
difference between the stuff made the old timey way and the stuff made by
"most" today.  The old mountain dew went down smooth.  And rarely did you
have a hang-over.  Maybe because it was so pure.  Today's legal stuff is
full of "additives" that supposedly are not harmful.  But there are old
timers won't touch it because it makes them SICK -- BIG BAD HANGOVER.  And
the cheap shine they make today is often filled with "additives" like lead
from radiators.  Can you say "Rest in Peace"?  And is supposedly one of the
reason "blind drunk" is used today -- it can permanently blind you.  I've
had the real stuff made by some real old timers and occassionally by family
members carrying on the tradition.  Most make itty-bitty batches because it
is too much trouble and expense to make it to sale, and a lot safer
considering jail time.  One old fellow made it and the "Revenoorers" let him
get away with because he was so old and he only gave it -- free -- to select
family and friends.  It was smooth and relaxing.  And good medicine for
"whatever ails yuh".  It made one SOB Flu almost enjoyable.  Filled up my
hot chocolate with my special hot chocolate and topped it with the mountain
dew, and I slept like a baby.  No morning after feeling the next day.

Pure grain alcohol and coffee?  Aack!!!  Yeah, it'll relax me alright, right
in to a coma!  I prefer the more mellow stuff.  Hell, I rarely drink
anything stronger than beer or wine.  I do enough damage drinking the
minimal, as ya'll well know.
