[at-l] Re: Virginia AT in Late October

One word describes it. "PERFECT!" When the "ALDHA Gathering" is at Concord
College, I hike before and afterwards and it is just PERFECT autumn
conditions in NC, TN, WV and VA.

Does anyone know what the weather is usually like on the AT in Virginia
north of the James River in late Oct.? Would it be worth the risk of going
during that time to do about 45 miles north of the river?
thanks
