Black flies should be pretty much gone. (They are never as bad on the coast as
in the mountains.)

Skeeters are never as bad in the mountains as they are along the coast. Sadly,
they won't be gone until we have a couple of freezing nights -- sometime in late
September, early October.

I.e. No place is perfect, not even Maine -- but we are way ahead of second
place. :)
