[at-l] Re: The shelter system

Right on Weary.

I started out with X amount of miles in my mind. And when I did not do it,
it bummed me out. So I pushed. Most of the time, I grumbled my way through
and "thought" I was doing okay. But twice I regretted it: Once physically
and the other time mostly mentally. Finally I realized that I am a Turtle.
And if I ever have the time to do the whole trail in "one" hike, I may take
several years to do it. So I'll pardon most people's dust and enjoy the
turkey buzzards.*

And that's what pleases me.

William, The Lone Turtle

*I once spent 2 to 3 hours on my back on top of a ridge line. It was cool
and the smell was soothing. I had started out to take my "mandatory" 10
minute break. Then I saw the turkey buzzards. They were soaring and I was
hypnotized. I stayed until they started circling over me and getting lower
and lower and.... I decided it was time to move on. I FELT GREAT!!!

Or better yet just go hike and figure it out as you go along.
