Reference your post, dated 5-11-03, advising, “I recorded all 110 episodes 
(of 'Northern Exposure').”

My wife and I videotaped the original episodes.  We watched a few episodes 
but stopped.  We awaited the right opportunity; it took a while but it came.

My wife’s commute to work, one-way, was 50 miles, mine was 66 miles.  A few 
years after taping the show, it snowed enough to keep us from going to work. 
  We had stocked up everything we needed, except for one thing, for this 
special occasion.  Doughnuts.  I diligently drove to a store and returned 
with a decent variety.  My wife and I watched our entire collection, while 
eating our doughnuts, snowbound.

We still have the collection, stored in much the same place as you selected, 
“... somewhere.”  We don’t get that many blizzards in Virginia, but we’re 
ready.  This time we’ll make our own doughnuts.
