I use to bounce at a private club.  I was nicknamed Sweet William -- for
several reason, but one was that even with our clientale, I could usually
talk or trick troublemakers outside.  But now and again, I would really lose
my tempter and put them through the door.  Not "out" but "through".  Used up
a lot of doors that way.

Fortunately there are no doors along the trails.

But, while we have been kidding about this topic, I was serious.  I have a
friend who I may go hiking with.  They have Tourette's Syndrone and I know
somebody is going to make some rude and insensitive comments.  So I was
looking for some "polite" ways to handle people before I go looking for a
door.  And some "polite" ways to handle jerks, too new "newbies",
day-trippers, etc.
