I did some in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia in May.  My feet
still haven't recovered.  The constant soaking really does nothing good
for you.  Sploshing up and down mountains in a slippery (and somehow
at the same time sticky) clay slurry is awkward too.

I'm happy not to be a thruhiker this year.
