[at-l] Tyvek

On my PCT thru last year, I used the same sheet of
Tyvek for my ground cloth. I tarped the whole way, so
I was on my Tyvek sheet for most of my trip.

It held up well. The grade of Tyvek I used was from a
kite store and is much more pliable than the
contruction grade. In English, that means it will
stuff into your pack much easier. It feels like cloth.

You can purchase the kite grade Tyvek from:
http://tinyurl.com/czru

It is $2.50 a yard (by 60"). Conveniently enough for
me, the store is located on Pearl St. in Boulder. :-)

Serveral other thru-hikers used this grade of Tyvek on
their thru-hikes last year. My good friend Yogi (who
is hiking the PCT again this year!!!) used it as well,
for example.
