I opened the attachments to a few of the messages. The hint into
the problem is preceded by the lines:
"-------------- next part --------------
An HTML attachment was scrubbed..."

The attachment is an abbreviated HTML file of the formated text
originally sent by the lister. Ryan has wisely chosen to prevent
HTML messages and attachments, avoiding worms and worse from
appearing on the list. The old software simply discarded the
formated text. I bet within a few days, the current software
will be set for the same behavior.
