[at-l] Shuttleing around the Springer Mtn / Neels Gap area.

     Living in Atlanta, i have had the opportunity to give rides to many people to Springer Mtn for their hikes and "rescue" people from paces further north like neels gap when they decide they just cant go on for whatever reason. Ive also had my wife take me up and drop me off for various hikes and such.  Even had pittsburgh take my truck from springer mtn to hickory flats so i could hike that section.he wasnt feeling well that dy and decided he wasnt hiking so he babysat my truck for me.

     The thing is, I haven't actually left my truck parked anywhere along the trail unattended overnight before and am very leary of doing so.

    At the end of May, i have several friends coming up from Florida and we all plan to hike from Springer Mtn to Neels Gap, using his van and my truck (or just my truck) to get us up there.

    Is there a good SAFE place to leave a vehicle up near neels gap?  What about the cabins down the road?  

    Might there possibly be someone in the north georgia area willing to shuttle 5 of us (3 adult, 2 boys) to springer, and possibly babysit a vehicle?

    Any ideas would be wonderful...
