[at-l] IF you were a teacher....

Suppose you were a teacher or had some other job where you had most or all
of the summer off every year? And suppose you decided to hike the AT in
major sections. Further imagine thatbecause of your job, you only got to
"really hike" during that summer session and that during the rest of the
year you only got to do "light hiking" or an occassional weekend hike. For
this reason, you were not in top LD hiking shape until you had been on the
AT for awhile, and that would probably be half-way through your summer hike
or later.

Would you split the hike into two, three, four... section?

Would you start at Katahdin or Springer. Or Harper's and hike South or
North?

Also, what special areas (on and off trail) would you recommend family and
friends to meet you? Especially "significant others".

What would you suggest?

For friends and self.
