 No... not the latest low-fat offering from Subway! :O)
That's what was in the woods on the slopes of Mt Agamenticus in southern
Maine today. Plenty of blackflies, warblers, flycatchers, and ticks too!
Springtime in Maine and the woods are waking up! Didn't need the saw at all
on the hiking trails, and the bike and mixed use trails were already cleared
a few weeks ago. A couple parked at the top said they had seen a "wicked big
deer" standing beside the road. To get to where they were parked they had to
have passed six or seven Moose Crossing signs...
Keep an eye open for those "wicked big deer" when you're driving in Maine.
Mt Agamenticus is that small mountain to the West you see when you drive into
Maine from New Hampshire on the big Rte 95 bridge.
