[at-l] Oldest Thru Hiker??

Does anyone know who the oldest thru hiker on record is? I know there are a
few hikers over 80 who have completed the trail in sections. But who is the
oldest and when did he do it?

We have had the most amazing gentleman visiting us. Bearbag arrived with
him and they spent two nights here with us. His name is "Cimmaron" (Mike
from Florida) and he did a couple of days a few weeks ago, then hurt his
foot and had to recouperate a bit. We slackpacked him a couple of days and
Bearbag hiked with him to be sure the foot was ready. He is now back on the
trail and should be at Neel's Gap with Bearbag tomorrow. Then he will be on
his own. We stopped at a store on the way to the trail and I looked out and
he was doing jumping jacks, then got down on the ground and did a few quick
pushups. This man is so incredible that I hope someone does a newspaper
article or something.
