On day hikes with a light pack I use a single wooden stick with a rubber
tip (foot?) that is lighter than the one that Weary uses. Even with
the cork top with the compass in it.
With a fully loaded pack I use dual Leki's with shock absorbers and
rubber tips. Works for me.
